He then calls on President Trump to negotiate a treaty on AI safety with China's President Xi Jinping during their meeting in Washington next week “to establish a pause on advanced AI development and a ban on superintelligence”. “A super intelligent AI that escapes human control will not simply be an American problem. It will not be a Chinese problem," he says. "It will be humanity's problem.”
